"Stop and look at the mind-blowing, amazing, fantastic, incredible, magnificent, astonishing, wonderful, stupendous, beautiful beauty of our world."
(David Almond, My name is Mina)
If this job has taught me one thing, it's that stories have always inhabited us. Stories are all around us, we inhabit them and they inhabit us, asking only one thing in return: our gaze: a careful gaze on the world, curious, open to possibilities.
In punta di piedi is an illustration and storytelling workshop, designed to be a first immersion between images and words.
WHAT WILL WE DO TOGETHER?
We will create two or three interconnected images, a short illustrated story in fragments that will have your voice, your touch.
We will focus on the possibilities of COLLAGE, particularly related to the theme of memory. You will have access to antique images, paper and pages to cut out, and words. You can also decide to add colors (gouache/wax crayon) to your art.
The key words will be: experiment, discover, and feel free to find your voice.
No artistic training is necessary; I'll be there to help you, and your work will take shape naturally and easily. Your story is already within you, just waiting for a little door to open up to the world, and if you want, we'll find it together!
